Ever fancied having a go at woodturning, but don't know where to begin?
Perhaps you are already turning and need some advice, or inspiration.
If so, come along to the Hands On sessions , held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 10:00am, at the Penkhull village hall.
Run by the Staffordshire and South Cheshire Woodturners Association, you will be shown how to make a start by experienced and friendly turners. There are always members on hand to give advice and encouragement.
There are six lathes available.
A grind station complete with the necessary jigs.
Also available is a pyrography station for you to try, or use to decorate and enhance a newly made item.
For beginners all safety gear, wood and tools will be provided.
The cost for the morning is £3.50 and includes tea or coffee.
After the session is finished and we have cleared up, there's food provided by the Penkhull Village Hall Community Café at a very reasonable cost.
So come along and join us. We look forward to seeing you.
