Mick Hanbury – 11th April 22

As always we were pleased to welcome Mick Hanbury to demonstrate for us.

In his relaxed and informative manner we were taken through the process of turning a bowl with a lid, a finial and a turned base. Plenty of challenges for bowl and spindle work alike.

Mick also showed how to embellish the piece using the spiral texturing tool. If time had permitted he would of no doubt added colour.

The evening was enjoyed by all and we all look forward to his next visit, even though he claimed to be a little rusty. (Certainly didn't show).
