Rolly Munro Demo 27th July
Rolly Munro, a world renowned sculpture/turner from New Zealand will be giving a full day demo 27th July at the Scout HQ in Stoke.
The day will cover tooling, hollowing small and larger forms including box and open deep forms. Types of wood and cutters as well as design, methodology and carving techniques.
Rolly travels frequently to demonstrate to clubs, in various parts of the world, and also runs workshops from his home. He lives in a beautiful coastal area on the North Island's east coast, and as a result you may notice that most of his works are inspired by sea creatures of various types, and influenced by the arts of Oceania.
Rolly is also well known for his uniquely designed hollowing tool which will be one of the many techniques that he will demonstrate on the day.
He is doing a very limited tour around the UK and we are very pleased to welcome him to our club.
