Please let a member of the club know your feelings on this issue

Hi

Over the past few months I have been trialling a Forum/Bulletin Board which is identical software and layout to the AWGB Forum. However the big difference is this is a separate entity run by me not the AWGB and it is for the Clubs in the Western Region only. It is Not designed to replace the AWGB forum in any way. It is a tool for the clubs in my Region and the expense is mine and mine alone. It is a service I am offering to you.

Basically what my vision consists of is a closed forum for each club where members of your club only have access to your own area so you can discuss anything that takes your fancy between yourselves. Each club has its own area and can be maintained by one of your members as a moderator. No other club can access your area, likewise you for other club forums. There is a communal area where a general exchange of chat can take place, but again I do not envisage this replacing the AWGB forum.

To register you will need to email me at dave@dave-wilcox.com and tell me that you are going to register, I will need your email to contain your name, AWGB number and club if applicable to prove membership. If you are the first member of a new club to register it will take a while to set up the relevant forms and directories etc and I may ask you to be the moderator for your club if you are interested, no pressure honest ;-).

I am easy going regards content but common sense must prevail. Those who sail close to the line I draw will be advised and then banned if continuing. So far no one has come anywhere near close.

So far we have three clubs enrolled, West Midlands, Coombe Abbey and Tudor Rose, I hope we shall see an increase in clubs and members in the course of time.

Regards
